Everythings bigger in Texas!!

Well the saying is definatley true when it comes to baked goods at least. Chris went out and got a special treat for breakfast on his day off. he got two of these babies, and 3 adults and a child, 3 days later, have gotten half way through the first one!! I always thought that my step mom had big cinnoman rolls, but these monsters put those babies to shame!!!

potty mouth

So we were trying to teach Mekynzie how to say flag, and for whatever reason she started saying another 4 letter f word. Caution, this next clip may be inappropriate for young ears, even though they are probably older then the person saying them. Note: she no longer says this, but we have also taken away the flag.

All aboard!!

So we have some great new and old friends in San Antonio. Some of our friends from WV, also are here in Texas. Our girls are all best friends and we love them dearly!! It has been so much fun. We went for a super adventure last week where we took them to the zoo, and then to the park on a train ride, and finally swimming. They loved it and were absolutely worn out by the end of the day!!! Thanks for a fun day guys!!!

Zoo

We went to the zoo with Mekynzie this month. It was fun, chris had the day off and so we headed off. It is so weird to have so many fun things just a few minutes away from us. mekynzie seemed to like the zoo, although her favorite thing was the fish and the crocodiles.

Wow!!!

Okay, so 3 comments. I can't wait for November, and I am so happy they got a new director, also, that is Volterra at the very beginning of the 2nd clip, I went there!!! Yay Twilight!!

The newest Jensen

Yes, we would like to introduce the newest member of our family, Fish Jensen. Mekynzie absolutely loves fish, she watches Nemo all the time, loves Sea World, and drinks out of fish cup and fisH crackers. So, when we were at Walmart we couldn't pull her away from the fish. So we got 1 fish. If any of you remember my frogs, I really don't like cleaning aquariums!! So we love fish, and are happy that he is here now!!

Too Sexy

So Mekynzie's new favorite thing is dressing up. She loves shoes and jewelry, and is always going into my room to get all dazzled up. The oter day she was taking a nap in my room. Usually she cries when she gets up, or goes to the door and cries if it is shut. Well I heard her crying that day and I went to the door to get her, and she had gotten up and put on bracelets. Can she get any cuter!! Her is a video of her first runway attempt. Please excuse how scary O look I was painting all day.

Our Secret Recipe!!

Okay so have any of you been to Rodigios (A Brazillion Restaurant) or something like it? Well we love to go there when we are home. One of our favorite things is this Brazillion Lemonade they have!! It is like a sweet Milky lemonade and so good. We have had friends that went on Missions ot Brazil make it, and although still incredibly yummy it never tastes exactly the same as Rodigios, and when I tried to make it, SUPER GROSS!! Well one of our new friends, Emma, is from Brazil. She made this for us and it was so good!! It tastes just like the restaurant's. And I'm sharing my lemonade goodness with you. We make this like 3 times a day!!

Brazillion Limeade
*1 Lime, cut into 8 pieces (DO NOT PEEL!!)
*3 Cups of water
*2 TBLS sweetened condensed milk
*1/2 Cup of Sugar

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for a second or two! (The lime peel is what makes it frothy!) Pour drink through a steel strainer to get all pulp out. Enjoy!!

Make sure not to double the recipe, because it will get all over!! Makes about 2 large glasses!

Life in Texas

So now that we are here in Texas we are so excited for all the fun things there are to do!!! We love Sea World. We go there 1-2 times a week. They have an awesome water park which is mandatory for 107 degree temperature. Mekynzie loves it there and always comes up and says "fish" which means I want to go to Sea World! We also have had fun with some old and new friends out here. Our good friends the Glebus's, who we have known for 4 years from medical school are down here as well. They have 3 of the cutest little girls and Mekynzie absolutely adores them. We all went t Barnum and Bailey last week and it was so fun to see all the fun shows!!

We also have made some new friends out here!! There is a new family at our church that just moved here as well. Last weekend we went to Corpus Christie with them. They have twin girls that Mekynzie thinks are so much fun. They call me and Chris "Mama and Daddy Kynzie" We loved the beach. We made Mekynzie into a mermaid!! And all the adults (we were cautious with the kids) came back with a nice and painful and itchy sunburn!!!

To catch you call up

All right so I know it has been forever since I have posted. To tell you the truth we had so much going on the past few months I never had a chance to sit down and post. And then when I did I was like tooo much to post!! Augh!! So here goes....

In April we came out to find our house in San Antonio!! We searched a billion homes and we found this one which we love. It is in a historic district close to down town. We call it our goldie locks and the 3 bears house. It is not too bad of a fix up. We finished the hard wood floors before we moved in at the beginning of June, and we have been painting and doing some other small touches to it. The kitchen and bathrooms had already been redone (I love granite countertops, and I actually am really starting to love teh gas range.) The best part, we got it for 1/2 price since it was a forclosure!! YES!!

The first of May was spent finishing up projects and getting our house sold. We also spent a lot of time with our friends. Here are a few of our good friends and us at the circus before we left (okay it was a really crappy circus in Lewisburg, but still it was fun to have an adventure!!) We miss all of our friends out there, we love you guys!!
At the end of may we headed to the Caribean for one last adventure. We went on a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Belize. It was so fun, we climbed a water fall formation in Jamaica, snorkeled and swam (and Mekynzie kissed) wild stingrays in Grand Cayman, and went to the ancient ruins in Belize!! (so a lot of our water pictures were taken with an underwater camera that I don't have digital). It was so much fun, Chris's brother Corey and my mom came too, it was lots of fun!!!

And then right after we got back it was graduation time!! Chris's brother stayed with us and that week chris's parents both came out!! It was fun seeing all of our family, but mostly exciting to have chris graduate from School finally!! We are so proud of him for all the hard effort he has put in the past 9 years!!! It was so cool to see him graduated!! Mekynzie dressed up like a Dr. for the graduation, and a photographer for the DO magazine was there. She thought that Chris and Mekynzie were so cute that they are going to be in a magazine in a few weeks!! (ya, not me, just them. I guess it shows who the cute ones in the family are!!) We are so proud of you Chris! After Graduation, Chris also was promoted to the rank of a Captain in the military!!!
And so I am his Sneaky Sneaky wife!!! I got this crazy idea years ago to save all my money to buy Chris his dream car for Graduation!!! It happened to work out so I could. He walked out of graduation and there was his dream black corvette convertible sitting there with a big bow. He was speechless and wouldn't even get in the car for about 10 minutes!! I was so worried he was going to kill me for spending all of that money. (And if you know what his last beate $700 car looked like you know that this is quite the upgrade!!) Now he can enjoy the 20 minute ride to the hospital and back! (Even though it is at 4:00 in the morning and 9:00 at night!!)
After Graduation we had mover come and pack us up 3 days later and we headed down t TX. We love it down here and have just been trying to get all settled in!!!
